Attendance and Punctuality
School starts at 8:45am, children should be in their class at this time.
School ends at 3:15pm, children should be collected at this time.
This amounts to 32.5 hours per week.
We publish our attendance in the Newsletter every week.
Punctuality
We monitor late arrivals and late collections. Each half–term, we arrange attendance panels with families, to identify and address children who are late arriving or leaving school.
Gates open at 8:30am and close at 8:45am. If your child arrives after this, they’ll need to enter school via the office, and late arrival will be recorded.
At the end of the day, you need to collect your child from their class gate. If your child is not collected, they’ll be taken to the after school club.
We constantly review attendance and punctuality.
If your child has achieved 100% attendance and has no more than one late arrival in a half–term, they’ll receive a certificate and will be entered into a prize draw.
Planned Absence in Term Time
If you are planning an absence during term time, you must make a request in advance via the school office. Absence will only be authorised in exceptional circumstances.
If your child is ill, or will not be in school for another reason, you need to let us know. Please fill in the Report Absence form or phone the school office.
If we don’t hear from you, we will contact you to find out why your child is not in school.
